OK. We’ve decided to go through a complete math review. So, if any of our readers ever wished they were better at math, here’s your golden opportunity. We’re beginning at 1+1. So you’ve got no excuses!
We are going to start from the very beginning to remind you that math is easy and that numbers are not scary. Stick with us. Don’t skip videos and you will be a math pro in very short order.
If you’ve watched a video in its entirety with your undivided attention, comment or click “like” so that we can tell who’s participating.
Even though you can all do this beginning stuff, it will build your confidence and perhaps even teach you new ways of thinking about numbers and what they mean.
Let’s go for it!

Seven months ago I started back at the mathematical basics. I neglected math in school because I was intimidated by the subject. I even forgot how to do long division. So, using Khanacademy and various books, I went from the elements of basic arthmetric, pre-algebra, algebra I and 2, precalculus, then made my way into calculus. Now I have a good handle and intuition on calculus 1. I’ll be into calculus 2 in all but a few months.
That’s a beautiful story! It’s very similar to my own. Because you were not too proud to go to the very basics, you were able to make rapid and great strides. Well done!
I watched this. Actually it is not too basic. It can be made very complex if one would like. There is the fact that we are using the decimal system with base 10.
Think of the number 17. That’s 10 plus 7. In hexidecimal, it is 11. In octal it is 21.
